The Simmons^® Beautyrest^® World Class^® Cruise Collection has also received Type Approval and European Community (“wheelmark”) approval from the United States Coast Guard (USCG), stating that Simmons IMO mattresses meet the requirements of Part 9 of Annex I of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Fire Test Procedures (FTP) Code.

With IMO approval, the Simmons^® Beautyrest^® World Class^® Cruise Collection can be used safely in accommodation spaces of minor fire risk, where furniture and furnishings of restricted fire risk are required as defined by the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) treaty. Simmons^® Beautyrest^® World Class^® Cruise Collection has also earned the European Community’s Mark of Conformity under the mutual recognition agreement between US and the EC.
